Big Blue Emptiness

from January Frame EP by LensFlare

/

lyrics

It’s that same old big blue emptiness again
But this time there’s stars and that means you’ve got friends
And that big half moon lights up your way home
And you know that you’re alive and a little less alone

And that blue globe of night expands cold into daylight
And you feel like a fool even though everything is all right
You’re living through music ‘cause that eases the time
And don’t you forget about whisky and wine

And that photograph helped in its own little way
To make a clear memory of that measly little day
You wish things today were as vivid as then
Or that you could just care or that things just made sense

‘Cause more and more it looks like you’re gonna fuck up
Or at best die lonely having drunk from life’s cup
But if what happens, happens then it’s no surprise
‘Cause you’re nothing and something in nobody’s and somebody’s eyes
